Bella Voce's 34th Season

Messiah * Holiday Delights * Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem

Our 34th Season brings our annual Messiah: a collaboration with the Callipygian Players that features an intimate 21-voice chorus paired with Chicago's only period instrument Messiah.  It's a rare opportunity to see the Baroque masterpiece played in its entirety.  In December comes our Holiday Delights, featuring a cappella songs and carols for the deep mid-winter.   In April we commemorate the anniversary of Brahms' death with an intimate presentation of Ein deutsches Requiem in the London version for 4-hands piano.   We invite you to join us for a year of thoughtful, authentic, intimate performances of these profound works of art.

OPUS 327 Concert Series

Purcell * Bach * Monteverdi

Our season collaboration with OPUS 327 matches the voices of Bella Voce with the organ and acoustics of St. Luke's Church in Evanston.  OPUS 327 is a non-profit dedicated to the preservation and programming of the E.M. Skinner 1922 organ there.  The performances feature the work of Dr. Christine Kraemer, organist and curator of Skinner's "OPUS 327."   This series features Purcell's "Hail Bright Cecilia," a series of Bach Cantatas, and Monteverdi's Missa in Illo Tempore.
